Image result for renault clio

Renault Clio will be the new small car on the eve the most awaited Indian Grand Prix. The company plans to put the car on the roads by early stages of 2012. The car is expected to be a family hatchback and the first look can be expected ahead of the opening race on October 30th.

Renault and Nissan chairman CEO Carlos Ghosn will start the honors of unveiling the car which is expected to be showcased at Delhi Auto Expo in January next year. The company believes that the Formula 1 will be the perfect launch pad for car maker’s effort to advertise the upcoming small car Renault Clio. Renault has been on a war footing since its break down with Mahindra & Mahindra and since then has launched two new products in to the Indian market.

The company seems to have well thought out approach for the auto market. They have cars that suit all the consumer classes. Renault has a top-down approach which is proved by the fact the company has launched two premium car that include the Renault Koleos crossover and the Renault Fluence sedan. The car maker, with the new small car will be hoping to generate volumes. The Renault Clio is looked upon as an arch rival to the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Nissan Micra.

Renault is looking to use its popularity and the reach of Formula 1 and in turn leverage it to promote their upcoming car. The Formula 1 Team of the Renault has been doing fairly well in the 2011 season.

The move from Renault also stem from the fact that now the demand is now shifting towards small cars in the Indian market. The Renault Clio hatchback is the newbie to the very crowded, ultra competitive segment of the Indian car market.
Renault India made it clear during the 2010 Auto Expo that it was all set to launch the Fluence Sedan and Koleos Crossover in India during the 2011 and has already kept its promise. Now it has made the fog clear on launch of the hatchback Clio in India.

“The idea behind Ghosn coming to India for the compact car is to generate the excitement around the vehicle,” a source said. “Formula One will give the biggest platform for the launch. Renault has been associated with F1 for a long time.”

The New Luxury Sedan Car Is the Renault Fluence

The external looks of the car is the first come to the notice. The design is completely off beat and different from the rest of the pack. The front grille, chrome and head lights all complement each other very well. The inside leg space is huge. The car has good road clearance and will be an easy ride on the roads.

The inside of the car is also well decorated with high tech advanced features. The seats are adjustable and can be folded. The music is taken care by the music player and blue tooth option. The wipers, head lights, cup holders and other things are all taken care of for a comfortable driving experience in the car. The air conditioner is surrounding cooled and you can have a pleasant weather experience during any time of the day. The car also boasts of remote features like key less entry, smart card, on and off button including the boot that can be maintained using a remote.

The car has an auto gear transmission for an easy drive. The auto gears do ease the pleasure of driving to an extent but it also leads to lapses in performance of the car. The auto gears are a bit slow in shifting due to the delayed ratio settings. The car does give a good mileage but with a loss of performance.

The ride handling and safety of the car makes for an easy drive and smooth journey. The shock absorbers are alive and tough with good bump negation. On the whole the car is good in terms of driver comfort, ease of drive, good interiors and some cool high tech features. All said and done the car can be ignored at your own peril. It is a good car with decent mileage and enough power for your daily use.

The Renault Fluence is available in both petrol and diesel. The price in India is Rs 14.40 lakh for the petrol automatic version while the diesel is priced at Rs 12.99 lakh ex showroom in Delhi. This new premium car from Renault comes with an all body color tone. However there no exact reports regarding the colors of the car.

Great options with high tech features are the main selling point of the car. The car has good interior space and does not pinch your pocket at the petrol pump. The Renault Fluence seems to have all the makings of the next best seller.

Renault Is All Geared up for a Triple Bang

Renault India just seems to not stop. With the year end just round the corner the company is going all out to end the year with a bang.As earlier mentioned in the previous reports the company is planning to launch three more cars.

The three cars would also include a small car which seems to be the buzz word these days among the Indian auto markets. This was revealed by a company top official. All these cars are exclusively part of Renault Company and it has nothing to do with any of its previous associations with the Mahindra. Even the future associations if any have nothing to do with company’s present cars being launched. They are totally owned by the Renault right from the Auto Cad part to the on road release of the cars. The Renault Vice President (Sales and Marketing) Len Curran was all strong about Renault going single in the Indian auto circuit at least for the time being.

First of the three cars would be the genesis of a small car. The latter would be a mini sports utility vehicle for the off beat and comfort car owners. The final car in the trilogy would be the entry segment luxury car which would most probably be a sedan. This is part of the company’s plans to be in the top three car makers of the Indian market.

On the eve of the Renault Koleos launch, Len Curran added that the car was particularly launched in Kerala because of its strategic business proposition. Currently in Kerala for every 1000 people, 40 of the people own a car.

As of now the number is fourteen with respect to the dealerships in Kerala. The company plans to add another 40 by the mid year of 2012. Renault Koleos has so far been debuted only in India.

The price of the car stands at Rs 22.94 lakh (ex-showroom). The Koleos is created at the Renault’s Chennai plant, which has a production capacity of 50,000 cars annually.
